For all you Cape Town dwellers there’s an exciting (and eco-friendly) fair that takes place in Observatory once a month: the Holistic Lifestyle Fair.

If you crave all things healthy, good and wholesome then this is the event for you! Held on the first Sunday of every month from 10am – 4pm the fair hosts a wide variety of eco-friendly, alternative natural, green, esoteric and healthy exhibitors.

Not only do they have interesting activities such as holistic therapists and life readers but they’ve got everything to suit your green living needs on display and sale:

Vegetarian, Vegan, Halaal, Organic and ‘Slow’ Food available to suit every tastebud.

Green, Recycled, ‘Eco’, Health and Healing products for sale.

Plants, Herbs and Crystals available.

World Music and Esoteric Books.

Unique and Unusual Artisanal Goods.

Body Art, Funky Clothing, Jewellry, Decor and Art & Craft.

The festival is enclosed and advertises itself not only as child-friendly but animal-friendly too (provided the animal is well-behaved).

The fair usual takes place at the Observatory Recreation Centre, off Drake, Collingwood, Station and Lower Main Road, Observatory Village, but due to recent renovations they’ve had to host the fair elsewhere. The entry fee is R10 for adults and free entry for children under the age of 12. Free, patrolled parking is also available adjacent to and in the streets around the venue.
